Seizure Response Dog takes a Bath

Thanks to the Lions Club of Hallett Cove & Districts, Sparkles the Seizure Response Dog can have his regular bath.

Her owner, a lady a resident of Hallett Cove had severe back problems and could no longer lift 'Sparkles' into the bath, but thanks to an ingenious new design of dog bath which allows the dog to climb a few steps and enter the bath through a door in th side of the bath itself, 'Sparkles' can be spick and span ready to carry out his duties.

A seizure dog like 'Sparkles' is trained to respond to a seizure in someone who has epilepsy.

Carolyn's Chemo Caps

Monday 1st February saw the set up of the first workshop held at The Lions Barn in Hallett Cove, producing Chemo Caps for Tennyson House and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Adelaide. Our lady members not only make the caps using interlockers, but package the items as well, ready for delivery.

Cancer patients in both these facilities receive a Chemo Cap free of charge.

Here are some of the Lions Ladies hard at work producing Caps for this worthwhile cause.
